Mapping out music education from the bottom up.
Making local systems of music education clearer to understand
Opportunities for young people to learn and engage with music education can appear to be patchy, complex, and hidden. This makes it difficult for teachers to signpost provisions and for students to access resources. The goal of this study is to understand how individuals perceive a landscape of music education to exist around them by considering their network of partnerships and responsibilities. By developing this understanding, we can point towards what makes a system of music education feel disjointed.
